Terms of Service
1. Acceptance of Terms
Welcome to Decision Loop. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Decision Loop mobile application and related website/services (collectively, the "Service").
By downloading, installing, or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. Description of Service
Decision Loop is a decision journaling and review app that provides tools such as:
- Decision capture and categorization
- Confidence tracking and expected outcome logging
- Review scheduling and reminder flows
- Insights, weekly review/digest workflows, and retention nudges
- Backup/export/import features
- Optional paid features via Pro access
3. Free and Pro Access
3.1 Free and Pro Tiers
The Service may offer a free tier and a paid Pro tier. Features, limits, and pricing may change over time.
3.2 Purchases and Billing
Paid access is currently offered through Apple App Store in-app purchases. Billing, renewals, cancellations, and refunds are handled by Apple under Apple's terms and policies.
3.3 Auto-Renewal
If you purchase an auto-renewing subscription, it renews automatically unless canceled according to Apple subscription rules.
3.4 Managing Subscriptions and Refunds
Subscription management and refund requests must be handled through your Apple account and Apple's refund process. We do not process payment cards directly.
4. User Responsibilities
4.1 Your Content
You are responsible for all content you enter into the Service (including decisions, notes, and exports) and for ensuring you have the right to use that content.
4.2 No Professional Advice
Decision Loop is not legal, financial, tax, investment, medical, or mental-health advice. You are solely responsible for your own decisions, actions, and outcomes.
4.3 Backup Responsibility
You are responsible for maintaining your own backups and safeguarding exported files and passphrases.
4.4 Prohibited Activities
You agree not to:
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Service except where law permits.
- Scrape, copy, or redistribute Service content without authorization.
- Attempt unauthorized access to any systems or data.
- Use the Service for unlawful, abusive, or fraudulent purposes.
- Interfere with reliability, security, or normal operation of the Service.
5. Intellectual Property
5.1 Ownership
The Service, including software, design, branding, text, and related materials (excluding user content), is owned by Decision Loop or its licensors and protected by applicable law.
5.2 Your Data
You retain ownership of your own decision content and personal records you create in the app.
5.3 License
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for personal, non-commercial purposes in accordance with these Terms.
6. Disclaimers
6.1 "As Is" Service
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
6.2 Availability and Accuracy
We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, error-free operation, or that all content is complete, current, or suitable for your specific use case.
7. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, DECISION LOOP AND ITS AFFILIATES, LICENSORS, AND SERVICE PROVIDERS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, GOODWILL, OR BUSINESS INTERRUPTION ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THE SERVICE.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATING TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF: (A) EUR 100 OR (B) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE SERVICE IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM.
8. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Decision Loop from claims, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your use of the Service, your content, or your breach of these Terms.
9. Suspension and Termination
9.1 By You
You may stop using the Service at any time by uninstalling the app and/or stopping use.
9.2 By Us
We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms, create legal/security risk, or misuse the Service.
9.3 Effect of Termination
On termination, your right to use the Service ends immediately. Pro payments already processed are non-refundable except as required by applicable law or app-store policy.
10. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of North Macedonia, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where mandatory consumer protection laws apply.
If a dispute cannot be resolved informally, it will be submitted to the competent courts of North Macedonia, unless mandatory law requires otherwise.
11. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms at any time. We will post updated Terms on this page and update the "Last Updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after updates take effect means you accept the revised Terms.
12. Miscellaneous
12.1 Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement regarding the Service.
12.2 Severability
If any provision is found invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force and effect.
12.3 No Waiver
Failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver of our right to enforce it later.
